Love Letters
I wanted an initial pendant that had weight and substance. Something with presence, something to take in my hand and hold as an anchor. And so I created these Love Letters.
I designed the font myself, based on an elegant, refined Blackletter (aka Gothic) script. I played with the proportions until each letter sat beautifully in its frame. I discarded the first samples as too insubstantial, and increased the weight of the silver until it felt like I wanted it to feel - a ballast.
Like all Wayfinder pieces, these transcend ideas of traditional gender styles. Wear a matched pair with a loved one, hold someone else's initials next to your heart, carry your own initial in an act of self-love.
